We are a young Danish design studio that works to create sustainable, healthy, functional, beautiful and long-lasting buildings. Buildings that create a quality of life for the individual and enrich the surrounding community. The design studio is led by architect Jesper Kusk, who is an experienced architect with several award-winning projects on his CV.
Sustainability in a future perspective
The ambition for all our projects is to create buildings worthy of preservation. We want to create architecture that is relevant both today, in 50 years, and in 100 years - when the use has changed, the users have changed many times and the sustainable technologies of the future have overtaken today's technical solutions. For us, it is important that we think about sustainability in a future perspective.
Responsible choice of materials
We design and build responsibly, with a focus on the earth's limited resources. In many of our projects we build with wood, and it is important to us that we choose both beautiful, long-lasting materials that are renewable and where the total CO2 footprint is kept as low as possible.
The good outdoor life
We believe that staying and being active in nature strengthens people's health, well-being and quality of life. That is why we design projects where daylight, fresh air and a good indoor climate are in the focus. We challenge traditional thinking about the distinction between inside and outside, and rethink the way we live, work, teach and meet.
Dialogue-based process
At Jesper Kusk Arkitekter, we design projects in close dialogue with users, the client and the rest of the consulting team. We work systematically with a thorough analytical approach. We draw in 2D, 3D and build models of our projects, all important process tools that strengthen us in our decisions.
Architecture leaves a big visible mark on society, and we take that responsibility seriously. Therefore, we construct buildings in harmony with the site, with an eye to both the community, the individual and the surrounding society.
