Maximale

Maximale is an architectural practice based in Madrid founded in 2022 by Pablo Delgado and Cristina Garau. Their work incorporates projects of different scales and typologies, developing specific strategies to achieve technical and aesthetical solutions which are implemented in each project.
Guided by a strong analytical and conceptual vision, Maximale defines an architecture that uses light and geometry to reach proportion, harmony and coherence. Their work focuses on social, cultural and environmental matters by fostering a continuous relationship between art, design and research.

Maximale was born a few months ago in London, where we used to live and work as architects for other firms. Pablo worked mainly on high-end designer retail projects for brands such as Tiffany, Burberry and Alexander McQueen in different European countries. On the other hand, Cristina used to work for renowned international architectural firms: BIG and Adjaye Associates, focusing on large-scale projects around the world. Both visions came together after we were given the opportunity to work on a few commissions for private residential projects in Spain, our homeland. Afterwards, we decided it was time to start our very own practice to showcase our vision of architecture, combining it with art, design and research.
