Scalar Architecture is an award-winning international design firm based in New York City. As the term indicates, scalar Architecture operates at a variety of scales collaborating with expert partners. The fruits of these collaborations are all embracing projects that garner accolades for their transformative solutions and environmental agenda, such as the International First Prize for the development of Hamar, Norway, and the Architectural League’s Award. Scalar Architecture integrates architecture and environments, seeks the senses,nestles scales and systems, radicalizes performance and engagement, and pushes collaborations forward. Recently, Scalar Architecture has been featured on the news for its social justice advocacy. It has been selected by the Van Alen Center and the Urban Design Forum to tackle the pandemic in under-served communities and has joined forces with the AIA Design Advocates to help organizations in need.

Scalar’s institutional experience includes the new headquarters for the AJ Muste Center for Peace in Manhattan, a Reggio Method School, a temple, commissioned designs for the Woodstock Association Museum, the offices of the Dean at Cornell School’s of Architecture, and a 100,000 sf medical building in New York. scalar’s residential experience includes dwellings and housing in Spain, New Hampshire, Maine, and New York as well as large-scale sustainable developments in Guatemala and Costa Rica. With expertise in hospitality and commercial projects, scalar’s work also includes hotels in Nicaragua and Honduras, and US restaurants Recess and Flurt.
Scalar Architecture collaborates with multiple international partners, including Regional, a joint venture in Central America. Urban and landscape collaborations include the re-development of Hamar, the Camel Village in KSA, chosen entries for Build a Better Burb and Elemental Chile, as well as a large cross-programmed sustainable park in Madrid, Spain.

Scalar Architecture has been exhibited in the Farnsworth Art Museum, the New York Architectural League and has been featured on TV -PBS, CBS, and NY1. In addition, it has been widely published on renown journals - Domus, Detail, Architectural Record, The Architect’s Newspaper, Interior Design, Princeton Architectural Press, Breathe, House Beautiful, Architektur, Arquitectura Viva, Bauwelt, etc- globally in countries such as the US, Canada, Germany, Norway, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Thailand, Korea, Japan, and China.
