BERENICE CURT ARCHITECTURE is parisian office founded following Bérénice Curt’s years of apprenticeship within international and renowned architecture firms. Berenice Curt has collaborated with Dominique Perrault, Jean Nouvel and Gensler, likewise notable new-wave architects, Franklin Azzi Architecture and Christ & Gantenbein Architekten. She has contributed to projects on a large range of scales, from product design to urbanism, and on a programs broad scope, from workplaces to the 2024 Paris Olympic Village. Graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Est, a major on architectural theory has led her work to compose with multiple historical languages and a strong contextual approach. Based in Paris, the office draws inspiration from local sceneries of her own work experiences in Japan, South America, Italy and Switzerland. In its projects, Bérénice Curt also involves creative actors with common design values and reflexion. The projects the office takes on, are a result of eclectic encounters and an conception process, cultivated all along her various collaborations. This process is incremental and unbiased. How does one grow from intuitions, a project in its most obvious manifestation? Thorough investigative work: studying the environmental and spatial behaviours, abstracting all potential and ambiguities from it, optimising the function and uses, running multiple scenarios until finally leading the most relevant. Backed by this efficient process, BERENICE CURT ARCHITECTURE leverages diversity in its types of work, from residential to retail spaces, throught building extensions in Ile-de-France and Italian renovations. The detail-focused and material-oriented approach in each project stems from Bérénice Curt’s lifelong passion for craft. Raised in an environment digging into creation, her production tools mix visual and physical mediums. She has this way woven a network of partners and craftsmen building trustworthy relationships, instrumental to the success of the office completions.
