MetroOffice Architetti was founded in Florence, Italy in 2009 by Fabio Barluzzi and Barbara Ponticelli.
Since the first years of activity, they worked at different scales and on different types of interventions, from residential or commercial units, to
the design of details in furniture and finishings. The passion for detail and technological solutions supporting functionality and beauty are inherent characteristics of MetroOffice’s work. Their ongoing research for the most appropriate materials, the most
suitable technologies and the constant collaboration with expert craftsmen have always ensured that each customer receives a unique project with attention to the smallest detail.
Themes such as the valorization of natural light or the search for the best views, as well as attention to circulation within spaces and to interactions between functions and flows have always been at the core of the research of the studio. These same themes have become even more consistent and distinctive in recent years, when the focus has moved towards bigger projects of rebranding and re-programming of companies, mainly within the fashion industry. In these cases, MetroOffice starts the project with a careful analysis of the brand, its collection and its production facilities and then aims to create a personalized concept able to represent the identity of the company itself. This mode is reflected in the definition of spaces and work environments, until the functional, formal and spatial dimensions coincide in the work.
The search for quality and well-being is at the heart of MetroOffice’s approach to the design of workspaces and is a fundamental element of their design.
