URBIDERMIS

Urbidermis is an editing company of urban elements with head office in Parc de Belloch (Barcelona, Spain). For more than 30 years, Urbidemis have been committed to a concept of design that promotes coexistence, to humanise cities and endow them with identity and a sense of belonging. We started out in a period of great political transition in Spain. Alongside the leaders of transformation in Olympic Barcelona, we played a part in revamping the urban landscape of our city and its position as a benchmark in urban design. Today, Urbidermis helps improve coexistence in public and private spaces for all throughout the world. We are committed to more social, more connected and sustainable cities where urban elements promote a more user-friendly experience and better maintenance, where light, water, rest, safety and information are given their space and are within reach. Our catalogue shows high-quality objects, locally produced in Spain. These are trustworthy, functional and long-lasting elements, that move emotionally thanks to their aesthetic appeal and which encourage more harmonious development of urban areas, by day and by night. They are rational, balanced elements for a two-speed city: the technological, connected city and the human city.

For Urbidermis, editing has been our lifeblood; a necessarily humble office that pays tribute to our author’s creative talent. Since 1985, we select, we venture and we focus the spotlight on well designed products, works by others, whose authorship is intellectually protected and registered.

Urbidermis Mission

Our mission is to collaborate with architects, landscape architects, lighting designers, urban planners and public administrations to enhance urban spaces. We know that every assignment is a unique undertaking. Our design and production teams work with project managers to reap the best results. We offer backing and customisable solutions that incorporate sustainability criteria and aesthetical and functional high quality design in order to meet the most specific needs. We are highly experienced and we enjoy what we do.

Global Design, Local Production

We at Urbidermis have offered our solutions for hundreds of cities of all sizes and healthy state, for more than three decades. Our elements have been designed to enhance user experience for the citizen without aesthetics taking centre stage, with good taste for sobriety and concern for minimising upkeep and ensuring ease of management. We design in Barcelona for the world. Our partners and friends at LandscapeForms in the USA, at Landmark in Australia, and at Fel Group in New Zealand have been licensed to produce our elements locally for many years. We are responsible for producing directly for Europe and the rest of the world. Because reason and emotion are universally shared categories.
