Based in Italy, VeniceM was founded by Melissa Lunardi and creative director Massimo Tonetto. They both have been working in the lighting fields independently since the late 90s. In 2013, they founded VeniceM, a company that creates unique, hand-made lighting and custom-made designs for clients worldwide, mixing innovation and the great tradition of Italian craftsmanship.
VeniceM was born in Venice, a place whose history, art and tradition continue to live in local artisans’ work. The collection is tailored and hand-crafted in detail, guaranteeing the highest quality in commerce and giving birth to lighting that is not only highly functional and thoughtfully developed but also stands the test of time as an exceptional artistic expression.
The company designs and produces unique, sculptural lighting with the utmost attention to technique and material. From concept to realization, every step is followed out by the creative and technical teams, working together in order to create unique works that fit into the context.
Through the years, VeniceM has grown along with constant design research. Meticulousness regarding basic forms, elegance, and attention to finishes: elements that outline the contours of the distinct, self-defining language which is the immediate self-expression of the artistic director Massimo Tonetto. The simple recurring shapes of these “light sculptures” – squares, circles, and triangles – never tire, but instead become timeless objects.
In occasion of Euroluce 2019, the company presented its brand new line of furniture, preserving VeniceM’s clean and rigorous distinctive style.
VeniceM’s products’ design is encapsulated in the uniqueness of every object and in the rhythmic rapport between lines. The craftsmanship applied in the processing of precious materials brings together our designers’ taste and creativity in order to satisfy our customers’ needs. Blown glass, chromed and oxidized metals, wood and marble can be combined in the creation of unique pieces with a personal touch.
Any small imperfections on metal finishes and glass testify the beauty and uniqueness of each piece.
