The industrial production of furniture and kitchen cabinets was just beginning when master carpenter Wilhelm Eggersmann founded his joinery shop in 1908. Primarily, it was the craftsmanship of the carpenters that determined the quality of the kitchen furniture which at that time was mainly kitchen sideboards.
Over the years, the process of industrialization made great advancements. In contrast to many other kitchen manufacturers entering the market, eggersmann’s passion was focused on the highest possible degree of individuality and not on mass production.
Now, more than 110 years later, carpentry skills are still the base of our manufacturing process while using the most modern machine technology.
In this manner we are able to produce our bespoke and luxurious kitchen systems. eggersmann creates valuable unique products for discerning clientele.
Employing modern machine technology, eggersmann produces approx. 5,000 kitchens every year. Today our products are distributed in more than 40 countries around the globe. eggersmann continues to be the oldest family-owned and operated kitchen brand in Germany. Our passion for quality, precious materials and individual solutions will continue to drive us to fulfil the high expectations of our customers.
Sustainability determines our actions. eggersmann sets the benchmark regarding responsible handling of wooden materials and of the environment. We are the first German industrial kitchen system manufacturer certified according to the strict requirements of the FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL® (FSC®). FSC® is the most renowned and extensive certification system for responsible forestry worldwide. FSC® prevents overexploitation on a global level, protects rare species and obviates human rights violations. The triple-layer furniture boards used for our carcase and front materials are certified according to the strict emission requirements as per CARB II (California Air Resources Board) and the formaldehyde emission of less than 0.05 ppm is well below the permitted European limit value of emission class E1 (0.1 ppm).
