Raffaele Centonze | Architetto

The architect graduated in 1999 at "La Sapienza" in Rome with a dissertation on Salento’s masserias. After a collaboration with Architect Gianfranco Moneta (full professor of Design of the Faculty of Architecture "La Sapienza" of Rome), he opened his first studio in 2000, dealing mainly with construction, restoration and design. From 2004 to 2010 he was a freelance collaborator with the urban planning office of the Municipality of Lecce. In July 2011 he inaugurated his new R_100 studio.
The architect has developed his business in major renovations for the residential and commercial sector, taking care of the restorations of many masserias and buildings in the historic centers of Salento. His works have been featured in prestigious international magazines (Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, Wallpaper, Country Living, Telegraph Travel, Ville & Casali, Marie Claire Maison, Milk and others). They are increasingly appreciated and made him one of the most renowned interpreters of the Contemporary Salento Style.His profound knowledge of techniques, materials and traditional styles marks his style, respectful of the past, but open to innovation and experimentation. Reclaimed wood is his speciality.
