The mission of NAMUOS is designing and producing design accessories with a subtlety that withstand the passage of time and whose quality and durability in a modern fast-changing world remind us of this in our everyday routines. NAMUOS seeks inspiration in nature, traditional crafts and colours native to our up-north climate. Always looking for an optimum price and quality ratio. The brand combines functionality and natural environmentally friendly materials in our designs. The entire NAMUOS collection is produced in Lithuania. As their forests are rich in oaks, ashes, and birches, they can use this native grown timber for their products. Other natural materials, common for traditional crafts, such as wool, metal, and leather, are also used in manufacturing. NAMUOS was born from a love of aesthetics and a cosy home. They are a family business, launched in 2016. Every year, they add new table decoration ideas, textile decor, bathroom accessories, and other interior elements to our range, helping our customers to create the home that reflects their philosophy of living. All products have been designed and made exclusively for the NAMUOS brand. NAMUOS brand is a member of the LITHUANIAN DESIGN CLUSTER and the LITHUANIAN DESIGN FORUM.

HOW ARE PRODUCTS MADE?

NAMUOS products are produced at carefully selected Lithuanian manufacturers whom we can trust, and who comply with ethical manufacturing principles and ensure the highest product quality. All manufactured products arrive at workshop where the brand add the final finishing touches, inspect the product quality and package them. When NAMUOS creates its products, it focus on solutions that minimise our environmental impact. They know the entire product manufacturing path from the raw materials used to final packaging. Sustainable materials are used for finishing the products, such as water-based varnish, and eco-certified waxes and oils. Scraps from manufacturing, for example, brass, are recycled and used to create new products. Wool and leather scraps are given away to design schools, crafters of jewellery or use them to make small presents for customers. Almost all products are packed in recycled cardboard. Plastic packaging is only used where strictly necessary and unavoidable – for protecting the packaging against moisture or ensuring safety in transportation. Polyethylene (PE) foam and Styrofoam are used for additional protection of extremely fragile items, such as mirrors and ceramics. Packaging materials remaining after transportation, production or other sources are reused in the various activities of the company.
