In 1985 there was Kresing Architekten, a design studio under the leadership and creative management of its founder Rainer Maria Kresing (born in 1952). The architect and graduated engineer (Dipl. Ingenieur) studied at Delft University of Technology, Technische Universität München (TUM) and RWTH Aachen University.
Kilian Kresing (born in 1979), who studied architecture at Technische Universität München, ETSA Madrid and RWTH Aachen, joined the management at the beginning of 2010 as partner and shareholder.
At the same time, the studio was renamed as KRESINGS GMBH. Its team guarantees a broad range of creative and qualified services in the areas of office and industrial buildings, facilities for research, education and culture, individual designs for residential buildings, churches, street furniture, interior design, as well as lighting design and corporate design. In recent years, the studio KRESINGS has been awarded such recognised prizes as the Deutsche Städtebaupreis for urban development, the prize for architectural culture from the regional association of Westphalia-Lippe (LWL), and also the German Museum of Architecture (DAM).
Rainer M. Kresing actually holds the position chairman of the regional group of the Association of German Architects (BDA). For some year now, Kilian Kresing has been involved in teaching at various universities such as RWTH / GUtech in Oman. Recently Kilian hold a position as assistant professor at the TU Dortmund.
