Christina Seilern established Studio Seilern Architects in 2005. Seilern is often inspired by her journeys, 'The fact that I am not rooted in one place or culture makes it easy to immerse myself into different environments and react in a specific and personal way'. It is this approach that enables Christina to adopt a true insight in enabling some of the most complex of projects in both the emerging and developed markets.
Prior to establishing Studio Seilern Architects, Christina Seilerm was a director with Rafael Viñoly Architects (RVA) for over 10 years and was the founding director of RVA's European office in London.
In 2005, Christina established Studio Seilern Architects applying her unique style across a range of building typologies, geographies and scale. Feeling that many of the large commercial schemes were losing the detail and nature of the human scale, she was keen to re-engage in an approach that addressed the projects from careful consideration of the detail to the overall massing strategy, and trackling a range of projects from a large scale city masterplan at Jabi Lake in the capital of Nigeria, down to the more intricate scale of furniture and light fitting design.
SSA focussed on 3 building typologies: Residential, Commercial offices and Educational. Christina used her extensive educational experience and became the framework architect of Knightsbridge School International, working on schemes in Geneva and Lausanne, Switzerland, Turkey, Bogota, Columbia and London
