SKATE ARCHITECTS

SkateArchitects is a Barcelona based Skateboarding Architecture office specialized in skateable public space, skatespots, skateplazas and skateparks. We have worked on urban, landscape, cultural, residential, comercial and sport projects for both public and private sectors since 2002. We focus on one of our long life passions besides Architecture: Skateboarding. We combine our direct knowledge of both worlds to create the best skate facilities available for each project and budget, as we would like to skate them ourselves. There is a very interesting relationship between public space architecture and skateboarding and it’s here that we establish our line of work. We also consult to other architecture offices. Beside our practice, we teach at universities and international workshops, we do research through PhD studies and we take part in cultural promotion in architectural institutions, as well as collaborating in skateboarding associations.
