The founders behind the brand are bonded by a shared vision and drive. Anders Faarborg and Lars Rolf Jacobsen launched Novel in 2014 complementing each other with different skills and experience.
Designer, Anders, a graduate from the Danish Design School, launched his career as an interior designer building an impressive portfolio including high profiled restaurants, hotels and venues in his hometown of Copenhagen, New York, San Francisco and Shanghai. Merging his unique ability to create outstanding interior concepts by decoding time, space and needs with his childhood dream of creating a furniture brand, Anders fuels the creative side of Novel Cabinet Makers.
With a background in investment banking and great passion for business development, Lars brings his international experience and start-up specialist skills. His innovative and strategic business thinking creates the momentum for our collaboration, shared ambition and scope of growing.
Our design ethos strives for a balance between the past, present and future. With a nod to the beauty from a previous era and a current brand vision Novel Cabinet Makers create considered pieces for the future, all produced in Europe. Supported by a dedicated team working from the showroom in Frederiksberg, Denmark, our expertise ranges from the contract market to home interior.
