Jung Architectures

Jung Architectures, an architect studio founded by architect Frédéric Jung in 2000, is based in Paris.
In the course of his practice, Frédéric Jung has acquired an expertise respected in the industry of renovation and change of use of existing buildings.
He has won several competitions that gave him the opportunity to work on various types of programmes, of note in cultural and tertiary sectors. His work on museum programmes encouraged him to develop a museum pole within the studio.
Beyond trends, Frédéric Jung is a committed practitioner, concerned about the context, who relentlessly carries out large scale projects, as well as works on details and materials. His approach demonstrates a certain sensitive rationalism, reflected in this quote from Peter Zumthor: “The reality of architecture is the concrete body in which forms, volumes and spaces come into being. There are no ideas except in things.”
As a fully-fledged contemporary architect, Frédéric Jung’s work on the “existing” leads him to theorize and turn to teaching.
Frédéric Jung also speaks in many conferences inspired by his production, be it for the cultural or the tertiary sectors, and by it contemporary reflection on the concept of heritage
