Lazor Office

Lazor Office is a design firm that specializes in the design and pre fabrication of dwellings. Our design work begins with fabrication and delivery strategies from the get go to produce designs that are easy to build. In addition to the green benefits of pre fabrication methodologies, our work centers on green operating strategies, durable, high quality construction and materials, and sensitivity to human needs in dwelling and community building through good design.

Lazor Office’s most notable pre fabrication system, FlatPak, has received extensive international press coverage in Time, Newsweek, the NY Times and numerous architecture publications for its innovative design to stream line residential construction in the today’s world. The FlatPak system has been exhibited by the Museum of Modern Art, The Walker Art Center and in 2006 was selected by the Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt for their bi-annual survey on design innovation. FlatPak houses have been assembled across the United States since 2005.

Lazor Office is headed by Charlie Lazor in Minneapolis. Charlie graduated from Yale School of Architecture and Williams College. Charlie is a co–founder of the internationally known furniture design and manufacturing company Blu Dot.
