LUCEM Lichtbeton® acts as an elegant, withdrawn light source in various applications. Depending on the design, this leads to completely different light effects. From a cool and discreet effect to a strongly accentuated light source. The spectrum of architectural possibilities is nearly unlimited. Concrete made with water, sand and cement only plus the extremely fine optical fibers create a illuminated surface, while their static and haptic properties of a typical concrete panel remain untouched.
The translucent fibers are parallelized and then automatically inserted layer by layer into the concrete. The result is a large-format concrete block from which the slabs are cut. The surfaces of the panels are available in polished and brushed silk matt. This is how the noble surface is achieved, which makes LUCEM Lichtbeton® high quality even without light.
Diffused daylight and direct sunlight make Lichtbeton® shine in the entire color spectrum of these natural light sources. Artificial light sources can create varying colors or fascinating effects and give architects completely new possibilities for designing rooms.
