Fiction Factory was founded in 1989 as décor studio, under the name Schilling & De Nijs. From a two-man business with one cordless drill-driver and a jigsaw, we have grown to become a professional and well-equipped construction studio.
What do we make?
Fiction Factory still makes theatre decors and exhibitions. We develop showroom-, office- and shop interiors for a well-known international fashion label. The prototypes are worked out in our own studio. We also build stands for trade fairs and shows that travel throughout Europe.
Broad spectrum
We permanently employ 45 skilled craftsmen who are capable of manufacturing just about anything. With almost any material, using practically any technique. For specific assignments we can call in the help of a wide network of specialists.
Impossible, impossible
If you ask the Fiction Factory to construct something for you, you’ll rarely be given a straight ‘no’. Moreover, it doesn’t matter if you submit a sketch on the back of a beer coaster or a detailed construction drawing.
Creatively constructive
Due to our lengthy and wide-ranging experience, we can in principle, make anything. If it’s something we have no experience in, we will first investigate how to go about it, who we need to enlist and what materials are required.
