Space Exploration Design

Space Exploration is an integrated architecture and interior design practice in New York City founded by
Kevin Greenberg.

We seek to create spaces that resonate with subtle harmony. The firm’s projects are driven by a love of
simplicity, nuance, craftsmanship and the integrity of beautiful materials expressed through construction.
Space Exploration has great reverence for history, but also prizes innovation and fresh ideas.
Space Exploration designs residential, retail and restaurant projects for clients throughout the U.S.
Notable restaurant designs include Walter’s in Fort Greene, Hamilton’s Soda Fountain in Manhattan and
the Glasserie in Brooklyn. Space Exploration also designed the Maryam Nassir Zadeh store in lower
Manhattan.

In 2014, Space Exploration’s Schoolhouse Loft project won Remodelista’s Best Professionally Designed
Kitchen Award.

Current projects includes residences in Miami, Brooklyn and Manhattan, and restaurants in New Jersey
and Brooklyn.

Kevin Greenberg is the founding principal of Space Exploration. He holds degrees from the University of
Chicago and the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to founding Space Exploration in 2008, he worked for
firms in New York, Seattle, and Japan. In addition to his design practice, Greenberg is an active writer and
teacher. He serves on the editorial boards of PINUP and The Last Magazine. He has been a guest critic
at Pratt Institute, RISD, Columbia University, The University of Pennsylvania, The University of Texas at Austin, and New York Institute of Technology.
