FOTI/PAGLIARO
FOTI PAGLIARO was founded in 1980 by Gianfranco Foti and Corrado Pagliaro.
The studio’s field of research and activity includes architectural design on different scales, in building and town planning, from design to landscape. Projects concerned with urban restoration and the environment are developed with particular attention to the integration of new elements with already existing ones, in a constant attempt to bring out new and unexpressed potentiality in residential areas.

The studio has been awarded with prizes and mentions in many competitions, both national and international: the restoration of Les Halles in Paris (1980), design of the Metropolitan Museum in Milan (1981), the Agricultural Promotion Centre and wine cellar at Sgonico, Trieste (1987), administrative headquarters and Regional Offices at Sankt Pölten, Austria (1989). In 1988 the studio was selected for the International Architecture Prize “Andrea Palladio” with the project for the Palazzo della Scienza in Trieste. In 1997 it won the competition organized by the Iacp for building apartments and facilities in the area of the former barracks in Largo Niccolini in Trieste. In 2005 it received a commendation in the “Marcello D’Olivo” Prize, the seventh biennial architectural exhibition.
