> projectile (from the latin projectus: thrown forwards): an object thrown or projected in order to reach a target. In the field of ballistics, it is more precisely an object projected by a weapon. In sport, it concerns a ball or an arrow. In architecture, in the plural, it is a workshop of three associates, the architects Reza Azard (1972) and Daniel Meszaros (1975), and the designer Hervé Bouttet (1971). A three-headed chimera with some twenty hands, if all their collaborators are included, and ten years of activity, Pr o je c til e s has no less than 150 projects to its name. These designer-architects show real versatility in exploring diverse forms of content, whether in museum layout or architecture. Their achievements are the proof of it, following a coherent trajectory in the diversity of their approaches, and developing thematic variations that suit their wide-ranging aims. Forming a many headed figure whose central point is in perpetual movement, they systematically question the architectural material. Spatial research in architecture provides them with their focal point. Their ways of seeing, their analyses are often shared and always discussed between them, helping them develop inner and outer “horizons” so as to conceive unexplored territories and constructed alternatives with the aim of a coherent approach and execution. In this way, Pr o je c til e s conceives outstandingly contemporary environments, after research using a range of tools, from drawing to 3D via 1:1 scale prototype trials. Finally, for them, the objective is the subjective, where the subject is defined as a thinking but also a feeling being: the human is at the heart of their preoccupations. Whether for a visitor, resident or user, they aim to bring about an experience, in the comfort of their visit, lives or daily use, according to a narrative structure that contains an elsewhere inside it. <
