FIRST TIME

Founded in 1978 on the initiative of Didier Gomez, First Time was one of the first Parisian boutiques dealing in high-end and contemporary furniture made in France. Its reputation attracted top French designers, renowned decorators and talented designers who signed exclusive models for the brand: modern and innovative sofas being welcoming and comfortable. Then, over the years, the collection expanded with the development of furniture for the living room : dining tables, sideboards, coffee tables and consoles in particular.
Popular with professionals, architects, interior designers and decorators, First Time has become the embodiment of the art of French living, in keeping with the times and known worldwide for its refinement and discreet chic.
After several takeovers in the years 2000, First Time became incorporated by the CDHC group in 2009, which held the position as the leading French manufacturer and distributor of high-end seating furniture with its three brands: Canapés Duvivier, First Time and Hugues Chevalier. The original shop on rue Mazarine in the Saint-Germain district remains the First Time showroom continuing to inspire the brand spirit "Saint Germain des Prés".
