AFSO

Design studio AFSO exists to create distinct projects. Established by Andre Fu in 2000, it is recognized for its work in sensuous, unique hospitality venues.

With its head office in Hong Kong, the studio lists clients such as Maybourne Hotel Group, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Shangri-la Hotels, Swire Hotels, Capella Hotels, Park Hyatt Hotels, restauranteur Alan Yau, lifestyle retailer Louis Vuitton, Lane Crawford and gallerist Emmanuel Perrotin.

AFSO's distinctive approach to interior architecture combines the rigorous pursuit of new Asian sensitivities, with clarity in space planning and keen attention to details of everyday life. It has applied its vision of design to the fundamental qualities of space, proportion, light and lush materials. Its emotional spaces are created to inspire and indulge.

The studio's philosophy is firstly to generate the optimum layout for the space in question. Once further functional refinement is no longer possible, AFSO draws from historical references and reinterprets them with its own design vocabulary to achieve a surprisingly emotional and playful effect.

The studio is currently working on a number of highly anticipated projects, including Park Hyatt Resort Phuket and Bangkok's Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
