Villa Lumi

Villa Lumi is a Portuguese brand of interior lighting with over 77 years of experience, a reference of creativity, professionalism and competence in the sector. The opening of activities in the US and Europe and, more recently, in Asia, has also contributed to this, an excellent opportunity for the company to grow.
Currently, it develops its business in the production of glass lamps, with brass components with gold, silver and nickel finishes.

Villa Lumi: the beginning

Having an early start in the glass industry at the Stephens Brothers Factory School, Floriano Ferreira da Silva used to dream of having his own business.
He asked for a one-year leave from work and in 1941, during World War II, in a small workshop, he started by cutting a large variety of components which were used to decorate chandeliers, lamps and candelabras.
He was, however, determined to change his dream into a successful project, and in 1985 he decided to create the company F. Ferreira da Silva, LDA, a name which stands to this day. The company, which is home to the third generation, is still run by the family.

The production of Villa Lumi: art and functionality

Giving expression to the creativity of the artisans without ever neglecting customer preferences and the quality of raw materials, Villa Lumi creates different models of chandeliers, candlesticks, wall, pendant, floor and table lamps that are a resource for the Portuguese decorative lighting sector and which are widely appreciated both in the national and international market.
