Alexia de Ville studied Art and Design in Brussels and at Central Saint Martins in London. She now lives and works in Brussels.
Storytelling using video, photography or drawing was Alexia’s main interest, crystallising over time into creating patterns and forming in 2011 her brand Tenue de Ville.

Alexia loves to be influenced by modern life, fashion and new trends, often anticipating them. Sometimes her designs evoke the past by reviving, while modernizing, paintings and prints.
Often she is just inspired by readings of her daily environment, and at others by photographing details of locations where she travels; tones, textures and moods she then collects, and that she uses later on as inspiration to create her new collections
Her recent collections are largely inspired by floral motifs and animals, but Alexia sprinkles here and there an abstract design that makes her style unique; a feature that catches your eye first and then capture your gaze, held prisoner by the elegance and spontaneity of the features, combining the simplicity of the lines and the complexity of the graphics, enhanced by the audacity of the tones and colors.
Passionate and strongly experienced in creating for Tenue de Ville, Alexia also offers comprehensive and customized services for the development of interior spaces today; she adapts the scale and colors of her patterns to the spaces and wishes of customers by developing “tailored” products.
Tenue de Ville cares about the environment and wants to support a local and regional production. Printed in England and Holland, the textiles are then assembled in a garment factory in Belgium. All wallpapers and stationery are also produced in Belgium and meet environmental standards.
Tenue de Ville was already noticed by Elle Deco, Gaëlle, ELLE Belgium, Grazia, Marie Claire and Gaëlle House, is supported by the Design House of Mons, the federation Wallonia Brussels and Wallonia and Brussels Design Mode.
