Aurora Woodfires is a proudly Australian Owned family business based in Byron Bay, Australia.

We both grew up in homes with fireplaces and wanted to continue the family fireplace traditions our parents created with us.

We were looking for a fire that looked right in a modern home and had a lot of soul. We liked the idea and design of a suspended fireplace for our new home.

We discovered that whilst suspended fireplaces or free hanging fireplaces have been available and popular in other parts of the world for a long time, they were difficult to buy in Australia.

Using Neil's engineering background we created two stunning suspended fireplace designs. By applying the latest technologies and engineering innovations he created fireplaces of extremely high quality which are built to last.
