The history of SIL Ceramiche begins to Sassuolo 60 years ago when Enrico Silingardi, with great spirit of initiative, opens in the historical center, a small store of tiles in ceramics and red gres. The prosperous activity grew so much in Italy to the point to have soon need of new and greater spaces. This way, before in 1960, in the first outskirts of Sassuolo, then in 1977 he builds the actual and definitive center. A huge and futuristic, for that years, store on a ground of over 30.000 mqs for the wholesale distribution not only in Italy but all over the world of ceramics and porcelain tiles.

With the arrival of the two sons, Carlo and Massimo, it starts in fact the realization of tiles with an own identity SIL Ceramiche: exclusive products and of created design using the most innovative technologies and to the state-of-the-art presents on the market. 

The growth in the years doesn't stop him and in 2000 a part of the great center is restructured for making space to the megastore. A showroom open to the public, in which it is possible to literally choose among "A sea of Ceramics" and to have consulting services and technical support for the laying thanks to formed and prepared team.
Currently they count almost 40 employees in the headquarter and a team of 40 people displaced in the rest of Italy and in the world; while the sales organization counts 100 retailers in Italy and at least 250 among Europe, Far East, USA, South America and Africa.

The desire to grow has always been a constant of this firm that has in the family and in the three brothers one of its points of strength. This creates a team of professionals for the study and the search of new products, new aesthetical solutions and to coordinate and to communicate itsr own image to the best on the market. It begins the collaboration with the study 'PROGETTISTI ASSOCIATI”.

During the years Carlo Silingardi has assumed the position of Commercial Manager;
Massimo Silingardi has become Manager of Production and Logistics, and their youngest brother Luca joined them and he is now managing the real estate division, that has driven the most recent project: the restructuring in the 2014 of the whole center, the construction of a space entirely and exclusively devoted to exposition and to the study and the search of new products and the realization of an ultramodern space.
The new project is very ambitious: a new showroom of bathroom furniture in which to expose only products of high-level, placed side by side and coordinated above all with the new collections of plates SIL Ceramiche of great format.
YOURSPACE, the new and big showroom, is a space in which the clients can discover the most recent and best aesthetical and technological innovations of surfaces and Ibath furniture, realized in partnership with the best brands Antonio Lupi, Boffi, Gessi, Effegibi,…...

In YOURSPACE the end users, the designers and architects can see and combine the whole best according to their necessities, with the possibility of customize the products according to their tastes.
