Building Bloc Design

Since establishing Bbloc in 2009, principle Majida Devani has channeled all her efforts to design affordable spec homes with a custom appeal, private residences and most recently commercial and multi-residential projects. Bbloc is a multi-disciplinary design team believing in every project being broken down to the basics-by simplifying to the most elemental structures the beauty of form and the honesty of materials shine through. Pursuing this simple, raw appearance is the goal of Bblocdesigns for every project and every budget. Majida believes that everyone should be able to have well designed spaces despite their demographic. All Bblocdesigns present a spacious, open plan; with well-configured interiors featuring a clean, modern aesthetic carried cohesively throughout. The application of unique finishes and materials, such as brick, concrete, reclaimed wood, and metals, used in a creative way, results insophisticated and harmonious interiorscharacteristic of Bbloc’s design aesthetic. Innovation by revisiting existing concepts and incorporating them with contextual surroundings is reflected in Bbloc’s mission of revitalizing Calgary’s inner city.
