Butech is the branch of the PORCELANOSA Groupo, specialized since 2001 in the development of technical solutions and the execution of engineering projects that use the tiles and slabs produced by the main firm as the core cladding material. Butech researches novel applications of ceramics in architecture and develops new building systems for the creation of ventilated façades and technical systems for flooring. It also includes a division dedicated to products for ceramic floor installation and another for technical and decorative profiles for covering, next to adhesives for ceramic surfaces and vinyl floors, cement-based materials for grouts, leveling systems, electric radiant floors or raised technical flooring, products for waterproofing, solutions for the creation of ventilated façades.

Butech, products for floors and walls installation

Butech offers an extremely broad array of products for floors and walls installation, including adhesives and grouting materials, together with additives and components which make the products suitable to serve the most diverse professional uses and to always guarantee top performances. One-Flex Premium, the new generation cement-based adhesive containing a high percentage of the mixing water, guarantees excellent adherence and flexibility, two qualities that make it perfect to be used in high-traffic spaces, on heated floors or building façades. Super-Flex S2, on the other hand, is a high performing single-component adhesive for the installation of large format, minimal thickness porcelain stoneware tiles (like XLIGHT and URBATEK by PORCELANOSA). The additives and special polymers contained allow for a perfect result, performing better than a normal adhesive by over 50%. This product suits also spaces that are permanently exposed to damp, outdoor or swimming pools. Politech Premium is a resin adhesive that is used as a cement adhesive, while ensuring extra benefits related to bonding, flexibility and resistance. In order for project developers to make the best use of their creativity, Butech proposes Micro-Stuck, a fine cement plaster modified with high-resistant and enduring polymers that make it an extra-ordinary and sophisticate covering, thin yet much stronger than ordinary cement. Butech has also developed a collection of accessories for floor installation that includes self-levelling spacers, used while laying the floor to keep the tiles separated, for a perfect finish.

Decorative profiles, ventilated façades and raised floors by Butech

Butech catalog offers diverse solutions for decorative and technical profiles allowing for a more accurate covering installation and a faultless final result. Pro-Part Butech profiles are an especially excellent alternative to the classic decorative edges. The matt or glossy metal finishing, obtained through an electrolytic treatment, have a right angle shape that adheres perfectly to the covering. They are also available in the aluminum version with integrated led lights that create light effect on the walls. The same level of performance is ensured by more merely technical profiles, like the ones used to join together different materials (e.g. ceramic and wood), or tiles with a different height, or in expansion joints that absorb the tensions of ceramic floors.
The installation system for Butech ventilated façades has been studied to optimize the execution time and to reduce maintenance to a minimum. Choosing a ventilated façade allows for numerous advantages in terms of power saving. During summer the sun hits the cladding, rather than the building structure, thus minimizing the heat inside; during winter there is less heat dispersion thanks to the exterior thermal insulation. In both cases the power saved is significant, ranging between 20% and 30%. The multi-layer system of the ventilated façades allows for a better acoustic insulation. Besides the most durable ceramic materials such as STON-KER® with its great resistance against atmospheric agents, ventilated façades also use materials such as KRION®, solid surface in compact mineral, which also has the ability to thermoform and thus to obtain curved surfaces that can be adapted to any kind of project. In this way these high-end materials offer maximum functionality without forcing the project developer ignore the design part. Butech also offers technical solutions for flat roofs. The raised access flooring for the exterior has been conceived to offer a floor with no inclines, ideal to create walk-over terraces and to hide the drainage system or cables. Moreover, raised floors are ventilated, therefore prevent condensation and serve as a thermal and acoustic insulating layer.
