Techné Architecture + Interior Design is a dynamic and experienced commercial practice lead by two directors, Nicholas Travers and Justin Northrop, who are passionate about architecture. Founded in 2002, Techné has quickly built an impressive portfolio across a broad section of project types including: hospitality, single and multi-residential, commercial, automotive, institutional and retail.

Techné believe variety is at the core of architectural design and practice; each project it undertakes has a distinctive design and spatial response with its own stylistic character. Techné is distinguished by its innovative design and delivery of exceptional architecture; this is highlighted through its impressive body of work in its short, yet impactful 12 years in practice.

Each project from The Bridge Hotel, to a Porsche showroom, or a bespoke home, is unique to its own circumstances. With a rich history of collaborations between the practice, and a variety of talented designers, lighting specialists, bespoke furniture builders and graphic designers, Techné brings extraordinary results to each venture. With a proven track record in delivering creative and functional solutions and more than 20 years industry experience between the directors, Techné work closely with their clients to deliver brilliant projects that are representative of their goals and personality. Together with Techné’s skilled team of 26, including architects, drafts people and interior designers, it delivers architectural and project management services to ensure each project is within budget and on brief.

Sustainability is innate to good design and Techné focuses on minimising energy use during and after construction. Projects are met with a responsible management of resource use, ensuring the selection of appropriate building material during construction and energy expenditure is a consistent design mandate.
