Box 9 Design

Louise Davies founded Box 9 Design in 2010 having worked as a Director at Michaelis Boyd Associates for 10 years. Her background was in designing high-end, very classic modern private houses. For the last few years at MBA she worked on projects for Soho House - Soho House Berlin & Pizza East and it was this work that propelled her into the commercial world. She set up Box 9 with the desire to work on her own more individual, quirky style taking on a few one-off projects with independent clients and working alone rather than in a big team. She worked with Adam White for the design of The Riding House Café and inherited a superb understanding of what Village London was all about. The brief for Village East was developed as the project went along and grew organically.

Box 9's first restaurant design was The Riding House Café which won runner up in the Time Out Best Restaurant Design. Since then Lou has completed designs for Des Macdonald’s Fish & Chip shop in Islington as well as Ozone Coffee Roasters off Old Street.
