James DeWulf established DeWulf Concrete in 2004 as a boutique design firm that specialized in creating avant-garde, concrete-couture for a variety of architects, interior decorators, commercial retail outlets, and residential clients. Dewulf has been widely recognized for his original and innovative work with concrete design and rapidly became known for his ability to fuse advanced concrete technology with aesthetic, modern, and natural concrete forms to constitute functional art.

In addition to his original work, DeWulf's cutting edge designs have evolved into a full scale product line available at choice retail outlets. His creative efforts have brought forth a wide range of cutting edge sinks, tables, outdoor pieces, and countertops. The creative force behind these products has grabbed the attention of the international design industry with LA Confidential magazine raving, "Dewulf is a renegade in the world of kitchen design, and his raw scrappiness comes through in his bold countertops and sinks." Distinction magazine noted, "James DeWulf is raising the bar on concrete design both visually and ecologically with his handmade furnishings."

James has been featured on international networks such as HGTV and BBC and his garden pieces were included in the House Beautiful Magazine Celebrity Showhouse in Los Angeles. Dewulf's projects have found diverse homes, ranging from urban nightclubs and boutique hotels to architect driven spaces such as the Malibu Tin House designed by Frank Gehry and a New York home decorated by Albert Hadley. But above all, Dewulf and his creative team have a passion and commitment for their art and consistently look to push the limits of their craft both functionally and aesthetically.
