What is the Studio Of Cinematic Architecture ? We are a creative design studio based in East London that make visually rich spatial experiences. We are interested in the cinema of the everyday and the animated relationship between people and place. What do we make ? We make public artworks / interactive installations / digital furniture / small buildings / interactive facade artworks / lights and more. All our projects are high quality, unique, site specific, spatial and responsive. How we do we work ? We use cinematic techniques to capture the ephemeral qualities of places and the movement of people in their environment. We use film to test interaction scenarios and to present ideas to clients and collaborators throughout the design process. We integrate innovative sensing and display technologies into our projects to create playful interfaces and visually engaging cinematic spaces. Who do we work with ? We design and deliver projects in-house, collaborating with creative programmers, electronic engineers and specialist fabricators. We also work as consultants within larger design teams for various client bodies and agencies, collaborating with architects, engineers and specialist consultants.
