CUBO Arkitekter

Cubo Arkitekter was founded in Aarhus, Denmark, in 1992, based upon a series of successful participation in architectural competitions. The practice has particularly made its mark through architectural competitions on buildings for education and housing, cultural and religious buildings and physical planning of town and harbour areas.

Cubo Arkitekter sees the participation in competitions as an important aspect of its activities and strategy. The office combines the experience and expertise which it has accumulated earlier in the progressive phase of Danish architectural production with an innovative and creative approach. Cubo is eager to express the technological opportunities of our time while at the same time seeking to reflect a respect for traditional craftsmanship - as an integrated part of Danish architecture - in all new buildings.

Cubo Arkitekter is owned by the architects Peter Dalsgaard, Lars Juel Thiis, Bo Lautrup and Ib Valdemar Nielsen. The partners are appointed as external examiners at the schools of architecture in Aarhus and Copenhagen, and participate regularly on competition panels for competitions organised by the Federation of Danish Architects.
