I M Lab

Alessandro Isola and Supriya Mankad graduated from the Architectural Association, London in 2003 and went on to work with famous architectural practices like Foster+ Partners and Edward Cullinans before setting up I M Lab in 2008. I M Lab’s design ethos is guided by concepts of modularity and flexibility in the belief that change is inevitable and the user should have the ability of adapting, modifying and adding to the object or space to meet evolving requirements. The design process focuses on the relationship between technique and materiality, pushing the limits of both to develop products and spaces. I M Lab work on a wide range of projects that include refurbishments, conversions, new build and product design. They work in close collaboration with their clients to develop requirements into unique distinctive solutions.
