Aarti Ollila Ristola Architecture

Erkko Aarti, Arto Ollila and Mikki Ristola are emerging young architects from Helsinki. The team works in all fields of design from product and graphic design to large-scale architecture. They share an ambition for finding new ideas and creating fresh architecture. The partners' Finnish roots and the international way of thinking form a fertile mixture for the creation of unique and site specific architecture with aesthetic clarity. The team always strives to add extra value to the design project – everything should tell a story. The collaboration has already gained success in numerous competitions. They have gained practical experience from different projects while working with various architecture offices for several years. In addition to projects and competitions in Finland, Aarti, Ollila and Ristola have been awarded in international competitions from the UK, Germany and Estonia. Aarti, Ollila and Ristola respect traditional craftsmanship and share a keen understanding of materials. They have experience working as carpenters, therefore using wood in their work is a particular expertise.
