Freudenberg Politex is a multinational with its headquarters in Italy at Novedrate (Como). The Group's core business is the production of polyester nonwovens, made using both staple and spunbonded technology. Freudenberg Politex is world leader in the Roofing sector, where nonwovens are sold as reinforcement for bituminous waterproofing membranes. Over the years, cutting-edge technology and continuous research have allowed Freudenberg Politex to develop a broad new range of products for the construction industry (Building Materials): waterproofing, thermal insulation, soundproofing and products for numerous other applications. Completing the Group's product offering are Voluminous Nonwovens used as padding in the furniture and clothing industries. On most sites, the production process is integrated upstream, with polyester produced internally from recycled PET bottles.
