Natevo
Natevo is an Italian brand born in 2012 and specialized in the design and creation of furniture with integrated lighting for home and contract environments. A spin-off of the brand Flou, the Italian company that during the ‘80s conceived and manufactured the first textile bed with removable cover. With such an origin, Natevo could only have an innovative wit. The history of the brand mingles with that of many contemporary designers and revolves around its ethical code. Committed to social responsibility, the company plays its part in sustainability by working to reduce the costs connected to electricity consumption, a crucial point in this new lighting concept. This has a double positive impact on the environment and in economic terms, resulting in Natevo furniture being frequently used in exclusive architecture projects. The furniture and complements present in Natevo catalog are distinguished for the possibility to provide autonomous illumination with no need to install other lighting fixtures. Ideal for the home environments, they are great to furnish public spaces and hotels too, to which they add a unique elegant touch.
Natevo targets a clientele that seeks beauty and appreciates alternative, functional and refined solutions. The products proposed are unique pieces, studied to the tiniest detail with tailor care and handcrafted. One of the most recent recommendations comes from some apartments in the new City Life complex in Milan planned by the archistar Zaha Hadid, who passed in 2016. These apartments are fully furnished by Natevo, for an utterly unique and astounding outcome.

Natevo collections with integrated lighting

Together with other collections, the catalog by Natevo includes three furniture collections, two of which were designed in collaboration with the Milanese designer Matteo Nunzianti, known for his projects of luxury hotels, spas and exclusive residences. Continuum is one of the very first collections of the brand, one that helped the designer development the Natevo concept. A versatile furniture that can be appreciated in Nunzianti Apartment, in the City Life complex. The collection, with its rigorous design inspired by Bauhaus’ rationalism includes a modular bookcase and a TV stand made with a structure in brushed aluminum with built-in LED lights. This piece is completed by shelves, cabinets closed with lacquered doors and wood rear panels. The same geometrical structure characterizes the other pieces of the same collection, like the secretary desk, endowed with a mirror in the dressing table variant, a square crystal coffee table with integrated magazine rack, a mirror-coat rack and a leather easy chair.
Solida is the second collection by Matteo Nunziati, with its design recalling the rationalism of the ‘30s, made actual by its Nordic style hints. The collection features a bookcase, a sideboard and a table, which precious materials like hickory and marble, together with the built-in light, soften the rigor of the squared lines.
The Kara collection, on the other hand was born from a project of the Turkish studio Toner Architects and is composed of an exclusive angular make-up table. The top in precious Calacatta marble, is supported by two lateral drawers with a gracefully rounded shape and ebony finishing. The top holds seven adjustable mirrors of different sizes and LED fittings integrated within the frame, whereas an elegant antiqued gold finishing underlines the tabletop profile and handles. A complement with a vintage taste, close to a work of art, ideal for the home as well as for SPAs and hotels.

Furniture by Natevo, a lightening design

Aside from its signature collections, the catalog by Natevo includes furniture and furnishing complements for an all-round offer, all distinguished by a seductive design and first choice materials. Twist&Light, for instance by the designer Marcello Ziliani, is a pivoting bookcase which functionality rests on its storage capacity and built-in lighting which makes it an effective and highly power-efficient LED floor lamp. Its five parts rotate separately around a central lighting tube, giving this extraordinary object ever changing design and shapes. Next to the iconic Continuum and Solida collection, Matteo Nunziati also designed Tekton, a collection taking inspiration from the lines of the Danish designer Hans Wegner a key exponent of Modernism. This collection includes the oval wood table also available in the round top version with a rising Lazy Susy enhanced by soft LED lights. This elegant table, perfect to be inserted in a state dining room, features a tabletop in oak wood and a bronzed-stained or hand-brushed cement metal frame available in two colors. The collection is completed by two upholstered easy chairs with a wooden frame.
The CC collection designed by Carlo Colombo is made up by the open bookcase CCLight, with aluminum profiles and integrated lighting within the structure, and the CCCube modular storage units system, a series of cubes and parallelepipedon of a rigorous design, with open units or doors and drawers and built-in LED light in the rear part.
Among the 2020 novelties, Natevo introduces two objects carrying Marco Acerbis’ signature: Gea, a spherical suspended lamp, composed of rings of Pirex glass tubes, transparent or opaque, that evokes the planet earth viewed from the space; the Balloon table, featuring a tabletop in precious Arabesco marble and with a Lazy Susy turntable, lifted upon the peculiar “hot-air balloon” brass structure.
