Nicolas Pichelin, who founded Structures in 2004, has a passion for materials and solutions. He sees himself more as an ideas man rather than a designer. After spending fifteen years as a high-level sailor, he decided to partner his technical skills with contemporary artists to help them produce their complex works. In 2012 Nicolas Pichelin and Jean-François Michon joined forces, and Structures began to design and market the S7 lamps. The company founders are committed to developing useful design concepts and producing high-quality products. Their goal is not style, but rather the style of efficiency.
