JOHO Architecture

JOHO Architecture is based in Seoul, set up by Jeonghoon Lee in 2009. Not only, Mr. Lee won the 2010 Korea Young Architect Awards given by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea government for his representative work, “Herma Parking Building”. In 2013, he awarded as one of the world’s top ten emerging architecture firms by Architectural Record’s Design Vanguard 2013 and listed as Shortlist at Worldwide Brick Award 2013. Most recently, JOHO Architecture listed as Special Mention on Fritz Höger Architecture Award and Wienerberger Brick Award 2014 as Shortlist.

“Time Stacking House”, one of recent project was awarded in Seoul architecture award and Gyeonggi architecture award as excellence and silver prize for each.

JOHO Architecture is interested in “Material-metry” which is composite of material and geometry. It is a concept of reconstruct the geometry through the essence of the unit with the material. Means of context with each site can be interpreted through a physical property with the material and it can be construct morphologically.
