Double Identity

Double Identity (Double ID) design studio is formed by two product designers born in 1989 (Sabina T. and Marina B.), graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Product Design Department. Design studio Double Identity ( Double ID) operates in all segments of design (industrial / unique), applied and visual arts. ‘’ Double Identity ‘’ is formed on the principles of double / hidden identity of the object, derived from the basis of modern and postmodern aesthetics: functional design, purity of form and space and the opposition, contradiction, contrasting forms, materials, textures and colors. ‘’ Double Identity ‘’ adds value and stratification to the objects. ‘’ Double Identity ‘’ shapes living space, lighting, furniture (outdoor or indoor) in accordance with all the ergonomic , ecology and functional requests. Throughout this whole process, we are creating something entirely new. In some cases we conflict with our influences, while in the other we completely surrender to them. We create under the influences of De stijl ( Theo van Doesburg), Suprematism (K. Malevich), Dieter Rams (Good design), Brutalism ( Peter and Alison Smithson ‘’The new brutalism’’, Reyner Banham), Postmodernism (R. Venturi, Denise Scott Brown), Deconstructivism , Studio Alchimia ( A. Mendini, M. de Lucchi ) , Karim Rashid and the others.
