Metz & Kindler Product Design, founded by Guido Metz and Michael Kindler, describes its own design philosophy as follows: "The starting point is the focus on customs and habits, such as the exploration of people's learned behaviour acquired over time. The way is to think outside the box for the necessary and unimportant, for new materials and old classics. The foundation of every product development is to implement these ideas in today's production of the smallest series to mass items and in doing so not neglect the logical, simple and plausible elements in the design." This philosophy can be clearly seen in the designs of Metz & Kindler Product Design for WMF. In addition to WMF, other notable companies from the field of kitchen and household, as well as transport and medical technology, are also customers of Metz & Kindler Product Design.
