Florian Busch Architects is an office practicing architecture and urbanism. Based in Tokyo, FBA draws on a worldwide network of experts accumulating several decades of experience in the field of building.
Understanding architecture as the result of interactions between multiple fields, FBA, from the outset of any project, devises specific strategies working in feedback processes with a diversity of experts to drive the project towards solutions beyond the imagined.
Founder and owner Florian Busch studied architecture in Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom. From 2004 until 2008 he worked for Toyo Ito & Associates, where, as lead architect for numerous projects, his strong vision shaped the office’s course with influential projects such as the Ghent Forum for Music, Dance and Visual Culture Competition in Belgium, the Torres Fira Barcelona, the Taichung Metropolitan Opera House in Taiwan, and the Market Street Tower project in Singapore.
