Caterina Tiazzoldi is the principle of the award winning interdisciplinary architecture and design practice, Caterina Tiazzoldi / Nuova Ordentra, providing architectural and interior design, set design, urban installations, public art and strategic thinking. Established in 2004, the firm has worked in a variety of countries, environments, and clients such as Federlengo, Illy, Toolbox, Regione Piemonte, Delmonte, Cosmit Salone Internazione del Mobile, Amorim Cork Composites, Politrofa, and Abet Laminati.
This cluster based studio includes a network of architects, interior designers, urban planners, structural, mechanical and environmental engineers, interaction designers and graphic designers. At the heart of the studios work is a commponent of finding innovative design solutions through the strong interaction between professional practice and the research developed in the research lab NSU at Columbia University. Additionally, Caterina Tiazzoldi teaches at the GSAPP at Columbia University in New York and various universities throughout the world.
In addition to its many accomplishments, the studio has also been invited to particiapte to several significant events and museums such as the Saint Etienne Biennale, Boston Design Museum, Soho Digital Gallery, Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris, Honour Guest at Salone Satellite with Columbia University, Architecture and Design Film Festival Tribeca, Made Expo, Experimenta Design Lisbon, Torino World Design Capital, and the Young Talent Selection Temporary Museum for New Design.
