Mineheart

Mineheart specialises in creating and marketing furniture, accessories, wall coverings and wall decorations. In 2010, two designers - Brendan Young and Vanessa Battaglia - decided to develop a brand to express their out-of-the-box creativity. Mineheart's products can be defined as hybrids born from the intersection of different styles and objects. Mineheart's creative adventure began with wallpaper that started as a game and became a successful product. Over time, the two designers, who sign their creations Young & Battaglia, collaborated with other established and emerging artists and illustrators, extending production from wallpaper to furniture, lighting, textiles and carpets.

Wallpapers, paintings and carpets: the original Mineheart decorations

The Bookshelf vinyl wallpaper collection, which reproduces a vintage bookcase, was Mineheart's first product and is still a catalogue staple. The Chesterfield wallpaper collection, another ground-breaking Young & Battaglia creation, faithfully reproduces the capitonné craft typical of the famous sofas in 5 colour variations. The taste for trompe l'œil is again reflected in wallpapers that replicate the most sought-after wall decorations and finishes, like the retro wainscoting of the Panels Outline or Almost White Victorian Panneling collections, or subway-style bricks in Bricks Outline. There is also a tribute to the great William Morris, with the Morris Dream collection for bedroom walls. At first glance, the wallpaper resembles a straightforward re-edition of one of the master's classic motifs, but a closer look reveals surreal elements and details, like flying pigs, small clouds and stars. In addition to wallpapers, the Mineheart catalogue offers a wide range of decorative items from cushions and rugs to prints and ceramic plates. The cushions are decidedly irreverent and surrealistic, like Madame Blush and Monsieur Mint printed with reproductions of an 18th-century lady and gentleman whose faces are hidden behind a splash of neon-coloured spray paint. Mineheart offers an extensive collection of paintings and prints, from original canvases to digital art prints, citing great artworks from the past reinterpreted in a contemporary key. All images are available with or without frames. Their subjects and the high quality of their digital printing make Mineheart carpets true works of art. The collections range from abstract motifs to delicate surreal subjects by photographer and digital artist Stefano Bonazzi.

The eccentric design of Mineheart furniture and accessories

Over time, Mineheart has expanded its production to include furniture and accessories, always in the same unique and eccentric style. The Young & Battaglia creations - Maria sideboard, Elisabeth sideboard and Catherine coffee table - combine the elegance of minimalist design with the opulence of Renaissance art. Shabby Chic Sofa is a tribute to a style that prevailed until a few years ago and whose philosophy of recovery and reinterpretation of antique furniture somehow inspired Young & Battaglia. With its minimalist lines enhanced by a rich metallic gold finish, the luxurious Gold console stands out among the brand's tables. With its brass or silver finish, the New Casablanca coffee table collection sumptuously reinterprets the traditional Bedouin tea table. Mineheart offers has a rich assortment of indoor lighting - pendant lamps, floor lamps and table lamps, all characterised by the same irreverent style. The most representative is undoubtedly the iconic King Edison pendant lamp, consisting of a simple blown glass bulb with an extravagant miniature brass chandelier hanging inside.
