Founded in 1984 by David Rockwell, and based in downtown New York with a satellite office in Madrid, the firm specializes in a wide array of project types, from hospitality, cultural and healthcare, to educational, product, and set design. Crafting a unique narrative and strategy for each client is fundamental to Rockwell Group’s successful design approach. From the big picture to the last detail, the story informs and drives the design. The seamless synergy of craftsmanship, technology, and design is reflected in environments that combine handmade objects, high-end video technology, special effects and custom fixtures and furniture. To bring Rockwell Group’s design vision and perspective closer to clients in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, the firm opened an office in Madrid, Spain. High-end and experimental hospitality, retail and entertainment are the main areas of focus for this studio.
