SERGIO PASCOLO ARCHITECTS

SERGIO PASCOLO ARCHITECTS is an international architectural and urban design studio focused on creating highly comfortable buildings and urban spaces with a positive impact on the quality of life for the users, inhabitants and citizens, while minimizing unnecessary resource use and costs. The team of architects and urban planners provide visions and ideas, as well as masterplans, preliminary and detailed plans for buildings and interiors that respond to complex requests, at any scale. The goal is to transform and improve the physical spaces to achieve a better quality of life. The main team of architects works in the office located in the very center of the city of Venice. This workplace is an open space in the former office of the famous venetian Master of architecture Carlo Scarpa. A well-established network of professional freelancers works with us on-line; other collaborators and partners work on site of the different international projects. For each project we build a team of landscape architects, structural and mechanical engineers as well as lighting and acoustic designers. Networking with colleagues, students in research, stakeholders and clients in development keeps us abreast of new ideas and continually inspires us to improve. The studio has designed and actualized many residential buildings, cultural and sport facilities, public spaces, renewal plans for historical areas and master plans for mixed use neighborhoods; it has participated in many national and international competitions and it is active in the field of refurbishment and interior design.
The studio’s projects have been displayed in exhibitions in Germany and China and published in Italian and international magazines and books. The urban design projects of the studio include competition projects and proposals for areas in Rom, Milan (Italy), Berlin, Hamburg, Salzgitter (Germany), Wien and St. Polten (Austria), Helsinki (Finnland), Riga (Lettland), Abu Dhabi and Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). Architectural accomplishments include cultural and sport buildings in Botticino as well as several housing complexes Goettingen, public spaces in San Donà di Piave, refurbishment of historical building in Venice and in Alto Adige, interiors in Milan, Venice, Udine, Wien, Hamburg.
The transformation of the former barrack area of the Zietenterassen in Göttingen into a successful integrative urban environment, through the integration of urban design and architecture have been widely published in magazines and books and awarded several prizes.
