Tuscany and wine architecture have a very long link. Here, since the mid-nineties, there were the most famous architects, such as Renzo Piano, Tobia Scarpa, Marco Casamonti or Mario Botta, and six provinces which can boast cutting-edge buildings perfectly integrated with the surrounding landscape, while respecting the principles of ecological design.

Nowadays, wineries like 'religious buildings', are the must-visit destinations for tourists. People go in droves on alcoholic pilgrimages. Today wine tourism has boomed: tours of wineries and holidays centered around wine, while tastings have become a big business.

The route 'Toscana Wine Architecture' brings together 25 wineries selected by Ci.Vin (Service Companies National Association of Wine Cities) in collaboration with the Tuscany Region and the Federation to the streets of wine, oil and flavors of Tuscany.

The project focused on a synergy between architecture, wine, food and art. Sometimes wineries host art installations and encourage the expression of modern art.
