Just a few days to go for the most awaited event for Art Design addicts, Design Days Dubai. The second edition takes place from 18th to 21st March 2013 and is the first in the Middle East and South Asia dedicated to collectibles and limited edition furniture and design objects. It takes place at ‘The Venue, Downtown Dubai’ at the base of the spectacular Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building and icon of contemporary architecture, designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP architects, during the city's annual cultural event, Art Week.
Its goal is to present the best of regional and international design to collectors and a wide audience of design enthusiasts.
The event consists of a series of interactive workshops, talks, screenings, performances, installations and exhibitions with the aim of strengthening greater appreciation and understanding for design as a form of applied arts. It encourages the involvement of emerging talent from the region and acts as focal point for the global design and art community, while becoming a vibrant addition to the region’s cultural scene.
