07/02/2013 - Milan capital of design: innovation, quality, communication, distribution, project-management. Today the Press Conference iSaloni 2013 Presentation is being held at the Unicredit Building – Piazza Gae Aulenti from 11.00 am.
Special guests at the important initiative were the starchitects Jean Nouvel, Antonio Citterio, Patricia Urquiola and Piero Lissoni, while the conference was moderated by journalist Antonio Di Bella. The Mayor of Milan, Giuliano Pisapia and Stefano Boeri, Councillor of Milan, also took part in the presentation.

- Salone Internazionale del Complemento d’Arredo
- SaloneSatellite
Claudio Luti, new Cosmit President has a major role within the iSaloni: telling the story of Italy's furnishing tradition. He said: "Fashion and design should work in synergy to produce the beauty of quality".
The Mayor of Milan, Giuliano Pisapia told press the conference: "The espression 'Milan: interiors of tomorrow' means looking at the future without loosing the tradition. (...) A city sensitive to the beauty which is also able to offer jobs: the design".
"Design should be integrating part of producing project: de-locating could be penalizing" chipped in by saying Antonio Citterio.
Patricia Urquiola and Piero Lissoni then took the stand saying: "The new year's eve of furnishing which last for 1 week, requires an entire year of work".
Finally Jean Nouvel, who closed the conference, talked about 'Project: office for living'. His words: "Office for living, wider, freer, more pleasant, intimate and customized workspaces (...) Architecture is the art to respond to limits".
